When starting HTMLProtector, you will see
interface like illustrated below. Part 1 contains ten tabs, each of which
holds specific functions; Part 2 is a series of buttons used for program
operation; Part 3 is the 'hint' area used for displaying help.
It is very easy to use HTMLProtector; simply select a web page or directory
of web pages that you want to encrypt, set the necessary options, then press
"Protect" to finish... that's it!
Let's go through the process step by step. For this example, let's say we
want to protect the HTML file c:\website\index.htm.
Step 1: Select the "Input" tab, then select "Protect
following files"; Press the "Add" button to add the HTML
file "c:\website\index.htm", enter "c:\website" as "Site
root folder" and choose "Generic HTML Page" for "File
type".
Step 2: Browse the other eight tabs "Output", "Encryption",
"Meta Tag", "Script", "Password", "Image",
"Source Code" and "Tag to Skip" to ensure their configurations
match your needs.
Step 3: Once you press the "Protect" button, HTMLProtector
will encrypt while a progress bar will display the status. Once finished,
you can access the finished product from the "Result" tab.
The above steps describe the basics of using HTMLProtector, the following
section will explain each of the above in more detail.
