LinkSurvey

In the site window, you can manage the websites that you want to run reports on using the following functions:

To Add a New Site: Right click in the site window and select "New Site" to bring up the new site dialogue. First, type the name of website in the "Name" field, then type its address into the "Address" field. LinkSurvey supports two different checking modes: "Checking links to this domain" and "Checking links to this URL only". To use "Checking links to this domain", you should insert a website domain name in the "Address" field (formatted like www.antssoft.com) - this function will try to find links pointing to any page on the specified domain. The "Checking links to this URL only" option allows you to track links to a specific URL. You must define the full URL address (formatted like http://www.antssoft.com/index.htm) into the "Address" field, and LinkSurvey will try to find links only pointed to this specific URL. Alternatively, you can click button on the tool bar to launch such operation.

Please note that you can only add one site with "single site link popularity checking mode" and "single site index assessment checking mode", and you can only choose "Checking links to this domain" when inputting a new site with "single site index assessment checking mode" enabled.

To Edit Site Property:
After adding a site, you may have a need to modify the name or domain address. To do this, select the domain name you wish to edit, right click it and select the "Property" option. You can now modify the name, address or checking mode of that site. Alternatively, you may click button on the tool bar to launch such operation. Note that deleting items can effect that projects query results.

To Delete a Site: Simply select the site you would like to remove in the site window, right click it and choose "Delete" from the menu - additionally, you can select "Delete" from the "Edit" menu, or press the Delete key on your keyboard. Alternatively, you may click button on the tool bar to launch such operation. Note that deleting items can effect that projects query results.

To Alter the order of Sites: Select a site in the site window, right click it and select either "Move Up" or "Move Down" from the menu.

The numerical value of "Hit" column in the site window represents the quantity of inbound links found for that particular website, which can vary from query to query.
