The "Animation" tab is used to
set the animation effect attributes of the text paragraph(s). Its user interface
is shown below:

You can set different entrance and exit animation effects for each text
paragraph. All available entrance and exit animation effects are displayed
in the list box. "None" indicates that no animation effect is
used.
The entrance time for a text paragraph can be set with one of the three
methods in the "From" drop-down list. "Absolute": With
this method, the entrance time of the text paragraph is equal to its starting
time in the scene and the offset value in the "Start at" edit
box. "Previous Entrance": With this method, the entrance time
of the text paragraph is equal to the entrance time of the previous text
paragraph plus the offset value filled in the "Start at" edit
box. "Previous Exit": With this method, the entrance time of the
text paragraph is equal to the exit time of the previous text paragraph
plus the offset value filled in the "Start at" edit box. A text
paragraph will wait for some time after the play of the entrance animation
is complete before it exits. The specific stay time can be specified with
the value in the "Delay" edit box.
The speeds of the entrance and exit animation effects can be adjusted with
the "Speed" attribute. It is a value in percentage. A value of
100 means the default speed. The speed is slower with a smaller value and
faster with a larger value. When the setting of the attributes is complete,
you can also see the time needed to play the whole animation at the right.
Besides, each entrance or exit animation effect also include extra parameters,
by adjusting which you can tune the details of the animation effects. When
you click the "Settings" button, a dialog box will open, where
all the extra parameters for the current entrance or exit animation effect
will be listed.
While an animation effect is played, the whole text paragraph is broken
down into multiple animation objects, and the specified animation effect
works on these animation objects one after another. Correspondingly, all
animation effects include the following parameters. "Object":
This is the way to break down text paragraph into animation objects. The
whole text paragraph can be set as a single animation object, or broken
down into animation objects line by line, word by word or character by character.
"Play interval": This is the time interval between the plays of
two adjacent animation objects. Its unit is 0.01 second. "Play time":
The duration when an animation object is played. Its unit is 0.01 second.
