A: The banner at the top of the Flash movie only generated with unregistered version of SWF Text. It will not be added to Flash movie created by registered version. Q: I have selected "transparent" for my background, but the background is black! Please advise.
A: To make a Flash movie with transparent background, please follow steps listed below:
1) Please make sure you have downloaded and installed SWF Text v1.1 or later version on your computer.
2) Run SWF Text. Choose "Transparent" within "Background" tab, and disable "Display border around flash movie" option within "Movie" tab.
3) Generate the flash movie, save it in your local disk.

Q: After registration, SWF Text works fine but it still shows "demo version" in the preview. Did I do anything wrong?
A: There are two kinds of "demo version" text in flash movie generated by SWF Text:
1) "Demo Version" within text animation. By default, SWF Text uses "AntsSoft SWF Text Demo Version" as the default text. You can change the default text in "Text" tab by press "Edit" or "Delete" button.
2) "The flash movie is generated by unregistered version of SWF Text" text at the top-left of generated flash movie. This should only appear with unregistered version of SWF Text. To remove it, you must enter your registration code into SWF Text and unlock it.
Q: I was wondering, however, if there is a way to loop through a series of text messages one time and then leave the last line of text on the screen?
A: With SWF Text 1.2 and later version, this can be done by enabling "Make the text on last page stay visible after loop has finished" option within "Interaction" tab.
Q: Can I send created flash movie through email?
A: Yes. To do that, you first need to create a HTML page. Type text, insert the SWF Text created flash movie to this page and upload it to your web server. After that, access this HTML page online with Internet Explorer browser, and then choose "Send->Page by Email..." under "File" menu. Now your default email program will launch with the "HTML formatted email" embedded.
Q: Every time I try to use SWF Text I get error message saying "Macromedia Flash player 6 or higher needed".
A: If you don't have flash player installed on your computer, please go to page http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer/ and install the player by following instructions. Upon completion launch SWF Text again.
Sometimes you also receive this error message even you make sure that you have the latest flash player installed. To reactivate it, please install SWF Text version 1.2 on your computer. After launch, you will see message as "Macromedia Flash Player 6 or higher version has been reactivated. Please restart the program". At this moment just press "OK" button and execute SWF Text again.
Q: How can I insert SWF Text generated flash movie into Dreamweaver?
A: Inserting flash movie into HTML page using Dreamweaver is easy and can be done by following instructions below:
1) First generate the flash movie by using SWF Text and save it into the same directory that contains the HTML page which will embed the created SWF file.
2) Launch Dreamweaver. Open the HTML page into which you want to insert the flash movie.
3) Click once where the flash movie will be inserted and select "Insert->Media->Flash" from menu.
4) Browse and choose the flash movie you want to insert, and click "OK" button.
5) In the property window, you may edit the properties of flash movie as you like, but usually you only need to keep the default settings.
6) Finally save the page and publish the files to your web server. Please note that the flash movie .SWF file must also be uploaded to the same directory as the page.
Q: How can I insert SWF Text generated flash movie into FrontPage 2003?
A: Inserting flash movie into HTML page using FrontPage 2003 is easy and can be done by following instructions below:
1) First generate the flash movie by using SWF Text and save it into the same directory that contains the HTML page which will embed the created SWF file.
2) Open FrontPage 2003 and select the HTML page into which you want to insert the flash movie.
3) Click on the position where you want to insert the flash movie and choose "Insert->Picture->Movie in Flash Format" from menu.
4) Browse and choose the flash movie you want to insert, and click "Insert" button.
5) Right click on the flash movie in the page and check "Play Movie in Flash Format" option in order to play it under design mode.
6) Right click on the flash movie and select "Movie in Flash Format Properties". The "Appearance" tab lets you change the size, transparency, background color and quality of the flash movie, and the "General" tab lets you specify whether the flash movie can loop, auto play or to show context menu.
7) Finally save the page and publish the files to your web server. Please note that the flash movie .SWF file must also be uploaded to the same directory as the page.
Q: How can I insert SWF Text generated flash movie into NetObjects?
A: Inserting flash movie into HTML page using NetObjects is easy and can be done by following instructions below:
1) First generate the flash movie by using SWF Text and save it into the same directory that contains the HTML page which will embed the created SWF file.
2) Open NetObjects and select the HTML page into which you want to insert the flash movie.
3) In page view, select the Flash Tool from the Dynamic Media Flyout on the advanced toolbar.
4) Draw a box to indicate the Flash files location on the page. The open dialog appears.
5) Select a Flash file from your hard disk.
6) Click Open. The flash place holder appears on your page, and the Flash properties palette appears. The name of the selected file appears in the File field on the General tab.
7) Click the HTML button to insert HTML tags and script.
8) Click the control tab. Here you can select the quality of anti-aliasing, set the scale settings, and alignment.
9) Finally save the page and publish the files to your web server. Please note that the flash movie .SWF file must also be uploaded to the same directory as the page.
Q: How can I insert SWF Text generated flash movie into general HTML editor?
A: Inserting flash movie into HTML page using general HTML editor is easy and can be done by following instructions below:
1) First generate the flash movie by using SWF Text.
2) Press "Publish" button in SWF Text. Select both "Save flash movie" and "Generate HTML code for flash movie" options and click "OK" button.
3) In "Save As" dialog, choose the same directory that contains the HTML page which will embed the created SWF file and specify the filename of flash movie. Click "Save" button.
4) In "HTML Code" dialog, press "Copy Code" to copy HTML code into system clipboard.
5) Open your HTML editor and select the HTML page into which you want to insert the flash movie.
6) Paste the HTML in clipboard into the position where the flash movie should appear.
7) Finally save the page and publish the files to your web server. Please note that the flash movie .SWF file must also be uploaded to the same directory as the page.
Q: How can I load SWF Text created flash movie into Macromedia Flash?
A: Current version of SWF Text only generates flash movie in .SWF format, and its generated flash movie can not be imported into Macromedia Flash. Instead you should use ActionScript "loadmovie" to load it in your own .FLA project. It can be done by following instructions below:
1) First generate the flash movie by using SWF Text and save it into the same directory as where you will save your "loader" flash movie which loads the SWF Text generated flash movie.
2) Open FLA project file of "loader" flash movie by using Macromedia Flash.
3) Insert following ActionScript into the frame

Q: How can I save the SWF Text created animation in .GIF or .JPG format?
A: The ability to export flash movie to .GIF image file has been included with SWF Text 1.3. The "Export to GIF" option can be found in the "Publish" dialog after clicking "Publish" button.
Q: When I create my flash banner, SWF Text does not give me a .SWF file extension but rather an .INI extension.
A: In SWF Text program, the "Publish" function is used to generated flash movie with .SWF extension, while the "Load" and "Save" function is used to save your current SWF Text configuration into a user profile with .INI extension for later reuse. So to create your flash movie and save it on your local disk, please use the "Publish" instead of "Save" button.
Q: I want to put the flash movie up on my MySpace, but everytime I put the HTML code on the site, it just displays a big blank box. Could you please help me successfully load it on to my site?
A: Please follow instructions below to add a Flash animation to your MySpace account:
1) First upload the SWF file to an external web hosting site such as Geocities, or any other web hosting site where you are allowed to upload external file.
2) After you have uploaded the file, please insert following HTML code into your MySpace profile.

3) In above code, replace "http://www.yoursite.com/yourflash.swf" with your own URL address of the uploaded flash movie. Meanwhile, please also replace "300" with your flash movie width, and replace "100" with your flash movie height.
4) Save your MySpace profile.
