UltraButton

The "Edit" window is in the top-left area of the main window which displays all buttons in the current project. You can preview the buttons for their actual final effects in this window.

Each button can have at most three states, namely, "Normal", "Over" and "Click". The user can set different parameters (background image, text font, text color, etc.) for the three states, so when the cursor moves over the button, or when you left-click the button, the appearance of the button will change. Of course, if you do not need the "Over" or "Click" state of the buttons you are about to make, you can also select "2-State Button" or "1-State Button" when you create a new project. If you select "2-State Button" to create a new project, all the buttons in the project will only have the states "Normal" and "Over"; if you select "1-State Button" to create a new project, the buttons will only have the "Normal" state.

By default, you can preview the appearance of the button in each state in the "Edit" window. The normal appearance of the button will be drawn according to the appearance set by the "Normal" state. When you move the cursor over a button in the "Edit" window, the button will be drawn according to the appearance set by the "Over" state. While when you left-click a button in the "Edit" window, the button will be drawn according to the appearance set by the "Click" state. If you want to keep viewing the appearance of some specific state, you can click the "View" button on the toolbar and select "Normal", "Over" or "Click" on the drop-down menu that appears.

You can add, delete buttons or adjust the order of the buttons in the current project with the series of buttons on the toolbar. The results of these operations will be reflected in the "Edit" window at real-time. These buttons include:

"Add": It adds a new button in the "Edit" window. Its appearance is the same as that of the last button in the "Edit" window.
"Delete": It deletes the currently selected button(s) in the "Edit" window.
"Left/Up": It moves the currently selected button left or up in the "Edit" window.
"Right/Down": It moves the currently selected button right or down in the "Edit" window.
"Vertical/Horizontal": It sets the direction of the buttons in the "Edit" window.
"Background Color": It defines the background color of the "Edit" window.

When you right-click a button in the "Edit" window, you will see the context menu. The menu includes the above commands as well as the following:

"Duplicate": It adds a new button in the "Edit" window. Its appearance is the same as that of the currently selected button in the "Edit" window.
"Copy Image": By default, it copies the appearance of the currently selected button in the "Normal" state in the "Edit" window to the clipboard. If you select "View: Over", however, the appearance of the button in the "Over" state will be copied to the clipboard. And if you select "View: Click", the appearance of the button in the "Click" state will be copied to the clipboard.
"Save Image...": It is similar to "Copy Image". The only difference is rather than copying the appearance of a button onto the clipboard, it saves the appearance of the button into an image file you specify.
