UltraButton

Press the "Publish Image Button" button or the "Publish Flash Button" button (or select the corresponding menu item) to open the "Publish Wizard" dialog box. It can help you create the final image files or Flash movie based on the buttons in the project, and add them into your pages. Its user interface is shown below:

Step 1: Decide whether to create image files in GIF or JPEG format, or to create an Adobe Flash movie, based on all the buttons in the current project. If you select to create GIF image files, you can specify whether the images should be transparent. If you select to create JPEG image files, you can set image quality. If you select to create a Flash movie, you can set its image quality and whether the Flash movie should be transparent.

Step 2: Preview the image files or Flash movie to be created finally. UltraButton will create image files or Flash movie based on your choice, and display them/it in the preview window.

Step 3: This step sets the name(s) of the image files or Flash movie to be finally created.

If you select to create image files, multiple image files will be created for each button in the project. The syntax of their names are "<prefix><button ID>_<state>.gif" or "<prefix><button ID>_<state>.jpg", Where "<prefix>" is the string your entered in the "The prefix of file name" edit box, "<button ID>" is the position of this button in the project, while "<state>" is one of "Normal", "Over" or "Click".

If you select to create a Flash movie, all buttons in the project will be used to generate one Flash movie with the filename "<prefix>.swf", where "<prefix>" is the string you entered in the "The prefix of file name" edit box.

Step 4: This step is used to select the method the image files or the Flash movie is published.

"Create image or Flash files into the following folder": With this option, the image files or the Flash movie is generated in the local folder you specify. You can select the folder by clicking the "Browse" button after it. When you click the "Finish" button, the whole publishing procedure is complete. Now, the finally generated image files or Flash movie is generated into the local folder you just specified.

"Create image or Flash files and insert them into an existing web page": With this option, the image files or Flash movie is generated and inserted into your local Web page. First, you can select to generate the image files or Flash movie in the same folder as that of the local Web page, or in a subfolder of that folder. Then, for Flash movie, you can set the "Auto activation" option (the Flash movie in the Web page will be activated automatically in Internet Explorer); while for image files, you can set the "Use JS including file" (UltraButton will generate relevant JavaScript codes into an independent external JavaScript file. In such way you can add the buttons into your many pages by including this JavaScript file). After that, click the "Browse" button and select a local Web page. The HTML codes of this page will now be displayed in the edit box below. Move the cursor to where you want to insert the buttons, and click the "Insert" button to insert the button related codes. After that, click the "Save" button to save the modified Web page. Finally, click the "Finish" button, and the whole publishing procedure is complete. Now, the finally generated image files or Flash movie, as well as some relevant JavaScript files, have been generated into the local folder you just specified. In order for the buttons inserted into the page to work properly, you must upload all these generated files onto your Web site.
